Explorer Scouts are aged from 14 to 18. Explorers are encouraged to lead themselves in deciding the programme and direction of the unit, with support and guidance from their leaders.

 

There is wider scope for external activities, campaigning, performing, and expeditions.

 

This Section also includes the Young Leaders’ Scheme, which provides formal Scout training for a leadership role in one of the younger Sections.
