‘Every child has the right to an adventure. Life is about grabbing opportunities. The prizes don’t always go to the biggest, the best and the strongest – they go to those who persevere.

These are simple life lessons that Scouting teaches.'

how does scouting make a difference?

begin your own adventure...

With more would-be Scouts joining ever-growing waiting lists, the need for volunteer leaders has never been greater.

A more flexible approach to volunteering has made getting involved so much easier, even if you only have a little time to give. Award-winning training is provided - and over 90% of Scout volunteers say that their new skills and experiences have been useful in their work or personal life.

If more adults participate, more young people can have the chance to enjoy new outdoor adventures, overcome challenges and forge lifelong friendships with peers. A few hours of your time is all that’s required to help them achieve their full potential.

Few opportunities for community involvement are as fulfilling. If you can assist, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

how does scouting make a difference?

Every year, the Scouts help over 450,000 young people to gain essential life skills, challenge themselves and participate in memorable adventures.

Encouraging the younger generation to make positive choices strengthens local communities and enhances the lives of everyone involved.

Today, Scouting is the largest co-educational youth movement in the UK, ultimately helping young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
