The 89th Reading Scouts are once again providing the highly valued Christmas Post service for the delivery of Christmas Cards to the whole of Caversham. We've have been running this service for over 40 years, raising funds for the Scout Group and providing a great service to the local community. Last time they raised funds for a community defibrillator and this year are hoping to replace some of their aging tents and camping equipment.
This is a great opportunity to save money – at just 40p per card – and get your Christmas cards delivered by our wonderful Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers.

You can post your Christmas cards at these locations across Emmer Green and Caversham:
Caversham library
McColl’s newsagents in Emmer Green
Woodcote Way Stores in Caversham Heights
Henley Road Co-op
The Milestone Centre, Caversham Park Village
Balmore Park doctors surgery
Emmer Green doctors surgery
St Andrew’s Church, Albert Rd
St Barnabas Church, Grove Rd
St John’s Church, St Johns Rd
St Peter’s Church, The Warren
You can post your cards (cash only please) from Saturday 25th November until Thursday 14th December, and your cards will be delivered over the weekend of 16th and 17th December.
The Scouts deliver cards across Caversham but please bear in mind that they are unable to deliver south of the river or to Kidmore End, Tokers Green or Sonning Common.
“We are excited to be offering our Christmas postal service again this year,” said Robin Kent, Group Scout Leader of the 89th Reading (Milestone Wood) Scout Group. “It’s a great way for us to serve the community and allows the Scouts to take part in spreading some Christmas cheer. The community will also benefit from getting their Christmas cards delivered on time at a reasonable price in these challenging times.”
